Harrow School Angling Club
Newsletter April 2008
Thank you to all of you who attended the AGM. We hope that you had an enjoyable evening. A new rule book is enclosed with this newsletter. Please make sure that you are up to date with all the clubs rules. This season we welcome Tony Kruck and Gordon MacNamara to the Committee. We would also like to thank Jon Cook for taking over the running of the website and Terry Brown for her excellent work as Treasurer last year.
A Water Management Team has been formed and this is led by John Wood. This team will be responsible for maintenance of both lakes throughout the season. Volunteers to join the team are welcome. Please contact John on 020 8863 8159 for further details.
We have noticed that a number of carp at Harrow have suffered mouth damage and in order to protect our fish the Committee has consulted with fishery experts and has drawn up some recommendations on tackle to be used at Harrow. These are as follows: Maximum breaking strain of line 8lb, maximum hook size 8, no leads eights over 1.5oz, no rods greater than 2.5lb test curve, no bolt rigs (all leads and feeders should be free running). Please note that these are not rules but recommendations, but we would ask that members do not use heavy tackle that is unsuited to the size of fish.
Keep up to date with club events, results and catches at www.hsac.co.uk.
